arrested by the CBI due to chit fund scam, bank accounts were sealed for
investigation, sponsors were unhappy and they stopped paying the clubs, as a
result the players and the managers did not receive their payment. It was thought that it would take a few years
for these clubs to revive.
We still don’t know how long the
clubs will take for a complete revival from the chaotic situation they faced in
the recent past. However, the success of Mohun Bagan will surely inspire the
clubs to start fresh and restore their on- ground prestige. Moreover, the value
